What we focus on in this class is having fun again. Taking the work out of acting and bringing that inner uniqueness out into the work. That is the only way to effectively connect with improv in order to master it. Actors need to nail the art of improv for auditioning and be able to do it on a dime. Improv is no longer just for commercials, it is for movies, television and theatre as well.
More and more we are seeing it in every audition and callback and it is more part of the game than ever! Students work on comedic improv, dramatic improv, long form improv, short form improv, character work and stand up comedy. Kimberly McVicar who heads the program is an accomplished comedian, actress writer and producer.
