Owner/Founder-Shanelle Gray

As a young girl Shanelle was born Shanelle Workman, then landed a role in the Original Broadway production of Les Miserables as Young Cosette. After New York City, she moved to Los Angeles to lead the ABC Pilot Howie and Rose in the title character Rose with Howie Mandel. An actress first with recurring roles on Grey's Anatomy, Cory in the house on Disney Channel and series regular roles on Soap Operas One life to Live and The Bold & the Beautiful, at 25 the inner entrepreneur also opened an acting studio called Act 4 Reel. This became one of LA's leading Performing Arts Studios and later took the name Gray Studios after marrying her first husband.) She didn't stop there. After producing over 180 short films, a couple of award winning ones, Shanelle moved on to features and television working with Shad "Bow Wow" Moss-heading his film and Tv Projects. With her Performing Arts Studio (now Shanelle Gray Studios after divorce. ) She has two daughters with ex husband that are successful actresses, Skylar Gray (Evil, CBS) and Parker Gray (Bunk'd).She comes from a family of actors including sister Ariel Winter (Modern Family), brother Jimmy Workman (Addams Family) Shanelle started the studio in 2005 in hopes of making actors everywhere dreams come true. Well, she did that and more in Gray Studios and now Shanelle Gray Studios leading LA's top acting schools.See less

Laurie Geltman -Additional Coach/Instructor

Laurie Geltman is an award-winning rock singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in Los Angeles. Laurie began her career in the vibrant Boston music scene fronting her own band as vocalist, songwriter and lead guitarist. Laurie has released four albums (one under the project name LAYNE), toured legendary venues from CBGB’s in New York City and The Bluebird in Nashville to a palace in Kathmandu. She’s shared the stage with many musical icons such as Joe Cocker, Emmylou Harris, Leon Russell, Patty Griffin, Rick Danko (The Band), Aimee Mann, Derek Trucks, Sarah MacLachlan and Morphine.

Baltimore-born and Boston-raised, Laurie began playing guitar and writing songs at the age of 7. With a life-long passion for photography and the visual arts, Laurie studied Film at Boston University and Art History in Paris prior to graduating from Berklee College of Music, where she focused on guitar and film scoring. Laurie has composed music for film and TV and is a passionate educator, teaching guitar, bass, songwriting and kid rock/pop ensembles. Geltman is also an avid writer and in her boxes of journals you'll find the seeds to most of her songs. Laurie currently writes and produces with songwriters in Los Angeles and beyond where she is working on her 5th album. Covid-19 made her buy an Interface and learn Logic Pro.

Carlie Craig -Additional Coach/Instructor

Carlie Craig is an actress, singer, songwriter and South Florida native who is most known for her work on the CW's reboot of the iconic sketch show MADtv. Carlie moved to Los Angeles ten days after graduating from Florida State University with her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre & Media Production. She then began her work as assistant to Broadway star and YouTube sensation, Todrick Hall, which led to touring with him internationally as a singer & actress, starring in his hit MTV docuseries Todrick and serving as a vocalist on his groundbreaking visual album, Straight Outta Oz. Other television credits include Will & Grace (NBC), First Impressions with Dana Carvey (USA) and The Donors (Kevin Hart’s LOL Network). 

Carlie can be seen performing her one woman musical comedy show Emotional Rollercoaster from Los Angeles to NYC, or on Tiktok, where she has cultivated a niche audience of theatre lovers and pop culture aficionados - like herself!
